As the Plant’s Quality Control Engineer, you will be responsible for the direct examination of manufactured equipment to ensure standards, procedures and design parameters are met and aligned with customer specifications.  The position requires a meticulous eye for detail, the ability to identify defects and production errors, and provide and implement suggestions for long-term improvements.  Working with and getting along with Department Heads, professionals and trades staff is paramount to success.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Inspect manufactured products and equipment for compliance with design and   manufacturing drawings
  • Inspect manufactured products for defects
  • Report defects to the appropriate manager
  • Collect and analyze all quality related data, processes and aspects of the company
  • Develop and introduce internal Quality Assurance policies & practices as required
  • Support new product development and continuous improvement and integrate quality control tools (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, etc) into processes
  • Implement a supplier quality monitoring program



•  Industrial/Mechanical Engineering Degree, Mechanical Engineering Technologist

•  Minimum 5 years Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment

As a CNC Machinist, you will operate and program the most advanced equipment in Eastern Ontario.  Amongst our family of machines we have an 11.5 meter Nicolas Correa Axia 115, Mazak Integrex i200, Mazak VTA 800 and Mazak Quickturn.


•     Machinist Certificate with 2 – 5 years’ experience and scheduling exposure

•     Enjoy machining straight profiles and some complex parts with high tolerances

•     Ability to read job packets and understand blueprints

•     CNC (Computerized Numeric Control) or lathes and milling machines
